About the site

While I'm too young to really have been around for the era of personal websites, I've always liked them as a concept. Especially compared to social media today, with its many, MANY problems lol, including but not limited to: everything having to be hyper-curated (including yourself), algorithms no one has control over anymore pushing AI slop and alt-right propaganda, run by weird fashy technocrats... Anyway, I was really happy to learn about sites like Neocities, and the indie web movement in general! I just liked the idea of having this corner for self-expression with total creative freedom, without the problematics mentioned above. One thing I was dreading was learning how to code, but honestly once I kinda got the hang of it I realized how much fun it was and it's currently one of my hyperfixations. New skill/hobby accuired, I guess?
